Chelsea Summer Party
London, United Kingdom – Swap in the City (SITCUK) brings the women of London a stylish, luxury, pampering swishing experience. Here women can bring along their loved, but no longer wanted, good quality or designer clothes and swap it for another item that catches their eye.
SITCUK are now introducing children’s clothes swap to the event, ladies can swap their clothing aswell as their children’s good quality clothing at the same time. The best bit…by taking part in the event you will be helping the environment and a worthy charity cause – Caudwell Children
Promoted as a luxury experiential swap event, SITCUK only displays good quality or designer items. Providing women with a platform to exchange their good quality clothes and give someone else the opportunity to fall in love with an item all over again. The proceeds of the auction go to Caudwell Children, a charity that provides family support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled and autistic children, across the UK.
The Chelsea Summer Party at the glamorous Juju London promises to be more than just clothes swapping: it will be an experience. The event takes place at the July 19th from 14:00 to 17:30 (BST), will boast a beauty talk by Premae Skincare founder Lady Clare Eluke and wardrobe stylists, who will give complementary consultations whilst socialising, enjoying pampering facial, nails and makeovers and fashion networking with like-minded women in stylish vibrant surroundings.
Did you know that every year in the UK around two million tonnes of clothes are purchased, yet we throw away a staggering one million tonnes of clothes, which is the equivalent of around £25m a year! SITCUK are helping women decrease the waste and carbon footprint of their perfectly wearable pre-loved, garments. Swishing is sustainable clothing at its best. SITCUK is a fashion forward thinking company, only allowing good quality (slow fashion) which lasts long and wears well. SITCUK welcomes unwanted clothes which may have been bought and never worn, no longer can fit, bought for that special occasion never to be worn again.
SITCUK’s motto is ‘Enabling women to do good, look good, feel good, be good’. Its founder, Nicole Pinkney, explained her reasons for starting SITCUK: ‘I thought it was a shame to have so many great quality items of fashion that were just going to waste in my wardrobe. I didn’t want to just throw them out, that’s when I realized there must be many other women feeling the same. SITCUK is a way of recycling these items, while having fun, being pampered and socialising with like-minded women…’
