Apricot tree is the member of the rose family originating from Central and East Asia. The fruit, rich in vitamins is used to produce the pleasant smelling Apricot Kernel Oil. Apricot Kernel Oil is very mild natural oil, often used in baby products because of its fine gentle nature.

    • Hi James,

      Thank you for visiting my blog and for asking a valid question.
      Apricot oil is pressed from the kernels of the Prunus armeniaca (apricot), extracted from the kernel (the nut/pulp) of the fruit. Addictives may be added if the company are focused on mass production. If the extracting manufacturers are ethical they may leave it unpreserved. It really depends on the manfuactures choice of extraction method
